  This issue of the Journal is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the second session of AVNOJ. The first part contains works that historiographically, from the perspective of the post-Yugoslav states, indicate not only the importance of the decisions of the Second Session of the AVNOJ for the constitution of federal Yugoslavia, but also show how individual republics built their own identities in that context. The second part of this issue of the magazine contains research by doctoral students on the ways in which AVNOJ sessions are presented in history textbooks.

  The new issue of Historia moderna Bosnia&Herzegovina brings two original scientific articles concerning southeast European history during 20th century. In one article, Aleksandar Horvat discusses about naratives related to the alleged mass crime and the shooting of hundreds of Serb citizens of Novi Sad in Rajina’s Forest by NOP members after the liberation of the city in October 1944. In the other article, Semir Hažimusić discusses about literalization of workers in Bosnia and Herzegovina after World War II. 

  Additionally, we publish an interview with Ivan Čolović, one of the leading antropologists in southeast Europe. The interview was conducted by Edin Omerčić.

  At the end of the issue, we have nine book and journal reviews.

  Vol. 2 No. 2 (2021)

  Association for Modern History (founded in 2013) has successfully continued its publishing activity, organizing History Fest and publishing the journal Historia Moderna Bosnia&Herzegovina, with the aim to publish works that will enrich the historiography in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Certainly, the journal is also open to the works that cover history of other countries and that fit into the program goals of Association, which are: moving boundaries of existing knowledge by opening new topics, different perspectives, modern methodological approaches, and fulfilling modern history requests.

  The works in the journal will be published in English, Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian and Montenegrin language.

  Unlike the first issue that contained two categories, in the second one we opened two more: Historical sources and Interviews. With gratitude to the authors who have confided their works to us for this issue, we invite you to cooperate. We thank everyone in advance who join us with their work and contribute to making Historia Moderna Bosnia&Herzegovina a recognizable and valuable journal.

  Historia Moderna Bosnia & Herzegovina

  After founding Association for Modern History, successful work in the publishing industry since 2016 and organizing three History Fests since 2017, time has come to launch a journal. On the initiative of the president of Association, prof. dr. Husnija Kamberović, we are launching a journal Historia Moderna Bosnia&Herzegovina, with the aim to publish works that will enrich the historiography in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Certainly, the journal is also open to the works that cover history of other countries and that fit into the program goals of Association, which are: moving boundaries of existing knowledge by opening new topics, different perspectives, modern methodological approaches, and fulfilling modern history requests.

  The works in the journal will be published in English, Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian and Montenegrin language.

  In this first issue, we are opening two categories: Articles and Book reviews. In the next ones, we can also include some other categories, depending on your suggestions. With gratitude to the authors that confided their works to us for the first issue, we invite you to cooperate.
