The paper analyzes history textbooks used in the period of socialist Yugoslavia, as well as textbooks that were published and are still used in Bosnia and Herzegovina, actually in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Within the framework of the analysis of the mentioned textbooks, emphasis is placed on the analysis of two events, the First and Second Sessions of the Anti-Fascist Council for the National Liberation of Yugoslavia, that is, the (non)representation of the mentioned events in the textbooks and their interpretation. In addition, the question, i.e. the position of the First and Second Sessions of the Anti-Fascist Council for the National Liberation of Yugoslavia in the Yugoslav official culture of memory promoted by the Association of Fighters of the National Liberation War, is partially addressed. The main characteristic in the positioning of the mentioned events, both in textbooks and in the official culture of memory, is the strong division that always had ethnic and national contrasts in the background, as indicated by some earlier analyzes by authors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, such as Melisa Forić Plasto, who dealt with a wide analysis of textbooks written in Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian languages.
